One of the most common questions we receive is whether hanging hooks, ceiling mounts, or other installation hardware are included/needed with our porch swings and hanging daybeds.

The answer is: No, hanging hardware is not included unless specifically stated in the product description, but can still be needed depending on your needs.

Why Isn't Hanging Hardware Generally Included?

Every installation is different.

Our swings and daybeds are installed in a wide variety of locations, including:

• Covered porches
• Independent Swing /Bed Stands
• Pergolas
• Gazebos
• Exposed beams
• Custom outdoor structures
• Interior spaces
• Existing swing frames
• Trees and tree-mounted systems

Because each mounting location is unique, there is no single hardware kit that is appropriate for every installation.

Many Customers Already Have Hardware

A large number of our customers are replacing an existing swing or daybed and already have suitable hanging hardware installed.

Including hardware with every order would mean many customers pay for components they do not need.

By offering hardware separately, customers can choose the mounting solution that best fits their space.

Different Installations Require Different Hardware

The hardware needed to safely hang a swing depends on several factors, including:

• The mounting surface
• The structure's construction
• Weight capacity requirements
• Indoor or outdoor use
• Whether the swing is suspended from a beam, joist, frame, or tree

For example, hardware designed for a solid wood beam may not be appropriate for a different type of structure. Likewise, a customer hanging a swing from an existing frame or a tree may not need ceiling-mounted hardware at all.

Can I Purchase Hanging Hardware From You?

Yes.

We offer a variety of hanging hardware options that can be purchased separately to complement our swings and daybeds.

This allows you to select the hardware that best matches your installation requirements rather than receiving a one-size-fits-all kit.

How Do I Know What Hardware I Need?

If you do not have support hooks already attached to the connection point where you will install the bed/swing, you probably need hanging hardware! If you're unsure which hanging hardware is appropriate for your installation, our team is happy to help.

When contacting us, please provide:

• The swing or daybed model you're purchasing
• Photos of the mounting location (if available)
• Information about the beam, ceiling, frame, or structure where the swing will be installed

The more information you can provide, the better we can assist you in selecting the proper hardware.

Before You Order

If you plan to purchase hanging hardware, we recommend reviewing the product description carefully to see exactly what is included with your swing or daybed, and to make sure the proper hardware kit is selected. For example, some of our kits come with springs. Springs will give swings/beds hung with chains a more natural give and movement while keeping the chain aesthetic, but are generally unnecessary for swings/beds hung with rope.

Unless otherwise noted, hanging hooks, ceiling mounts, lag screws, and other installation hardware are sold separately.
