Pressure treatment is a process used to help protect lumber from the effects of moisture, weather, and outdoor exposure, extending the life of the wood and reducing wear over time.

All of our pressure-treated outdoor furniture is made using Micronized Copper Quaternary (MCQ), one of the most advanced wood preservation methods available today. Unlike older pressure-treatment methods that used chromated copper arsenate (CCA), MCQ does not contain arsenic.

MCQ uses microscopic copper particles that are driven deep into the wood during the pressure-treatment process. These particles remain within the wood's cellular structure, helping to provide long-lasting protection against decay and insect damage. Because the copper particles are effectively locked into the wood, chemical leaching is extremely minimal, and MCQ-treated lumber is widely recognized as a safe and effective choice for outdoor furniture and structures.
