Ensuring your new furniture will fit comfortably within your space is an important part of selecting the right product. Proper clearance helps prevent contact with surrounding walls, railings, posts, and other structures while the product is in use.

As a general guideline, we recommend the following minimum clearances:

• Porch Swings: 18–24 inches in front of and behind the swing, and 6–8 inches on each side.
• Swing Beds: 18–24 inches in front of and behind the bed, and 6–8 inches on each side.
• Porch Gliders: 8 inches in front of and behind the glider, and 4–6 inches on each side.
